From project to production brief

Compare the production context

Compare the cases with your materials, production workflow and quality requirements.

Workpiece

Material and part requirements

Compare material grade, thickness, part size and critical holes or edges. A tower flange, long mining-equipment sideplate and tube profile place different demands on the cutting route.

Workflow

Handling and following operations

Include loading, sorting, drilling, finishing, fit-up and welding. A faster cut is useful when the surrounding operations can support the change.

Evidence

Results and test conditions

Keep cutting speed, complete-part output, yield and cost as separate measures. Record the workload, configuration and included cost items before comparing results.
