Application
Mining, crushing and screening equipment
Installed equipment
ULG18045 · 30 kW · 18 × 4.5 m working area
The production challenge
Zhekuang builds crushing and screening equipment. Sideplates, screening-machine beams and conveyor supports require carbon steel and wear-resistant plate, with the case describing typical work at 20–40 mm and above.
Flame cutting left some parts needing crane transfer to a milling machine for edge preparation. Distortion complicated fit-up, and the previous working format required repositioning long components during cutting.
The machine and workflow
The installed ULG18045 combines a 30 kW laser with an 18 × 4.5 m working area, reducing plate repositioning for the long structural parts in this project.
The customer reports moving relevant sideplates to welding after minor cleaning. Removing the milling step also reduced handling and correction before assembly.
Reported results
Reported cutting-speed comparison
0.8 → 2 m/min
The casebook uses 40 mm carbon steel for this comparison. Cutting speed is distinct from complete-part throughput.
Preparation for welding
Milling step removed
The case narrative describes minor cleaning before welding for the relevant parts.
Configured working area
18 × 4.5 m
The installed format addresses long mining-equipment components and plate handling.
The speed comparison and process observations come from ADH's customer casebook. Material, tooling, gas, part geometry and the full production route must be considered when assessing another project.
