Training and commissioning

Training and Commissioning

Prepare your people for the machine they will run, with operator, programming, process and maintenance training.

Training paths

Training for the work ahead

Choose the training topics that match your machine, team and production tasks.

Operators

Start-up and safe operation

Cover daily checks, setup, the normal cycle and permitted operator tasks. Use the machine manual to explain protective functions and when to stop and seek qualified support.

Review common questions

Programmers

Programming and setup

Follow a sample part from drawing and tooling data to programming, setup and first-part correction. Cover the team’s controller, software, program transfer and backup procedures.

Review press-brake software

Commissioning handoff

Prepare your team for production

01

Prepare

Prepare the site, utilities, sample parts, programs and tooling. Agree the participants, language, training format and included services before scheduling.

02

Teach

Walk through the machine, controller, normal cycle and recovery path with the assigned team.

03

Verify

Use agreed tasks and sample parts to check understanding. Record corrections, questions, further training needs and machine acceptance results.

04

Continue

Record follow-up training, maintenance, parts and upgrade needs.

Keep learning close to the machine

Build confidence at the machine

A short support video, a controller question, a calculator or a service request can each be the right next step.

  • Match each video to the installed machine and controller.
  • Use software and controller pages for setup questions.
  • Use calculators to frame the production brief.
  • Ask the service team when the procedure or machine differs.

Handover planning

Keep the machine knowledge with your team

Agree the documents and training included with your machine before delivery. Use the checklist below to plan the handover.

Equipment

Machine and document record

Keep the model, serial number, configuration and accessory list with the manuals, drawings and software versions. Agree any program or parameter backups needed.

Production

Tested setup and results

Keep the tested parts, material, tooling and program with inspection results, acceptance records and follow-up actions.

People

Training and support handoff

Record training participants, topics and remaining needs. Keep service contacts, maintenance information and spare-parts references accessible.
